Description from the seller

An exceptional piece of high distinction, ideal for collectors and lovers of fine silverware. This imposing centerpiece with its tall bowl stands out for its exquisite balance of dynamic forms, impeccable luster, and ornamental refinement, designed to become the absolute focal point of any elegant setting.
-Origin: Spain.
-Style: Louis XV / Neo-Baroque with marked classical maritime influences.
-Period: c. 1934-1970.
-Hallmarks: Two hallmarks are visible on the rim of the base:
*Pentagram (Five-pointed star): The official hallmark of Spanish legislation for sterling silver (915-925/1000).
*Merchant's/Manufacturer's Hallmark: A second hallmark showing the silversmith's initials or the workshop code, characteristic of prestigious silversmithing workshops of the period in Spain.
-Material: Sterling silver or high-quality silver-plated metal.
*Transparency Note: The piece features traditional Spanish silver hallmarks from 1934 - to the present; however, it has not been individually verified by a jeweler to accurately determine its internal metallurgical composition, and is therefore sold as is.
-Technique: Repoussé, chiseling, and casting for the sculptural elements. The main body displays an elegant helical gadrooned design (spiral or twisted effect) on both the cup and the base, creating an extraordinary interplay of reflections and light.
-Ornamentation: The mythological figures of four dolphins, masterfully chiseled with a high level of detail in their scales, stand out, serving as structural support and connecting the base to the cup. It also features two lateral handles with openwork scrolls and acanthus leaf reliefs that stylize the piece. The upper edges are wavy, following the lobed pattern of the body.
-Condition: Excellent condition, consistent with its age and the photographs.
-Measurements:
*Total Height (to the end of the handles): 19 cm
*Height to the rim of the cup: 17 cm
*Total Length (from handle to handle): 29 cm
*Cup Diameter: 21.5 cm
*Base Diameter: 12 cm
*Dolphin Height: 5 cm
*Handle Width: 8.5 cm
*Weight: 341 g
-Versatility and Use
This centerpiece boasts an aesthetic versatility ideal for contemporary or classic décor. It can be used as a standalone piece, a magnificent sculpture on a sideboard or main dining table, or as a punch bowl, elegant fruit bowl, container for sophisticated dried flower arrangements, or even to hold floating elements that highlight its marine motifs.
