Antique analytical pharmacy scale dating from 1900–1910, in wood (Madeira) and brass, originating from Italy, in good condition with minor signs of ageing and in working order, measuring 40 cm high by 38 cm wide by 20 cm deep and weighing 4 kg, housed in its original wooden case with glass panels and brass pans, with a functional lower drawer and weights not included.

For sale is a rare and magnificent antique analytical pharmacy scale (precision/apothecary balance), dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century. A genuine collector's piece with immense decorative appeal, perfect for Dark Academia, rustic, or industrial interior designs.The scale is housed in its beautiful, original noble wood casing with glass panels. This enclosure was historically used to prevent air currents from disrupting the precise measurement of milligrams when compounding medications.
Historical Details & Key Highlights:Authentic Period Markings: The wooden structure features two original handwritten maker's markings in period pencil/ink. These include the inscription "Milan" (Milan, Italy) inside the framework and an artisan/quality control signature on the bottom of the drawer. These rare details confirm its European origin and authenticity.Condition: Excellent aesthetic condition. The wooden frame is sturdy, and all original glass panels are perfectly intact (no cracks or chips), which is very rare for a piece of this age.
