Description from the seller

This graceful bronze pouring jug is a fine example of decorative art from Renaissance Revival, characterized by its elongated proportions and rich ornamentation.

The jug features a tall curved handle ending in the head of a mythical creature, while the body is decorated with driven and engraved motifs, including curls, masks and floral motifs.

The slim neck and the flaring spout reflect the influence of 16th-century Mannerist metalwork, reinterpreted for the Victorian interior.
