In 2021, Comme des Garçons collaborated with Chris Marker’s archive, with designer Rei Kawakubo incorporating his photographs into limited-edition catalogs and installations in the windows of New York and London. The images come from both his vast archive, now held at the Cinémathèque française, and the 2007 exhibition 'Chris Marker: Staring Back,' which highlighted his extraordinary ability to document activism and social movements.
