It was he who coined the word "Veglia" at the request of Senator Giuseppe Borletti, playing on the idea of watching over time and waking up in the morning.

During the 20th century, the company became famous across Europe for both fine mechanics and desk clockmaking, and for supplying precision instruments for cars and airplanes (the famous Veglia-Borletti speedometers).
