Exceptional pair of antique bedside tables that embody the elegance and sobriety of the Neoclassical style (D. Maria). These are two symmetrical pieces of great artistic quality, conceived with refined marquetry work and inlays of contrasting woods. Each table has a top drawer aligned above a lower cabinet door, offering practical storage. The whole silhouette is enhanced by straight lines and geometric friezes that give visual balance to the pieces. The main highlight lies in the decorative inlays. The fronts of the drawers and doors display intricate floral motifs and sinuous foliate scrolls in gold tones over the warm wood background. The top surface features a perimeter inlay in a strip that delineates the natural beauty of the wood grain. They retain the original metal/bronze handles, worked, circular in shape at the center.
