Mantelpiece ornament.

A beautiful flower still life by an unknown painter, 19th century.
Specially made to be displayed on a mantel or chimney.
For the fashionable upper circles of the time.
Oil on canvas.
It could be Belgium or France.
During this period, between 1800 and 1890, there were studios in both countries where such paintings were made for stylish interiors.
These paintings were usually unsigned.

I need to wrap it in a wooden box specifically for shipping, and it cannot simply be sent via a standard parcel service.
Hence the higher shipping costs.
You may of course pick it up yourself, which would reduce the costs.
I only ship to countries within the EU.
Buyers from other countries must arrange their own transport with a carrier such as UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
