Very rare as it comes from a private collection gathered in the 1960s!

Natural white coral – Beautiful decorative piece – Approx. 20 cm

Very beautiful specimen of natural white coral. Its dominant white color is enhanced by subtle brown and ochre tints at the base, bearing witness to its naturalness and age.
The structure is delicate, branched and symmetrical, typical of Acropora-type corals.
This kind of piece was commonly used as a high-end decorative object or as a curiosity in antique cabinets. Today it is used by collectors or often for high-end aquariums.

Ancient piece from a private collection.

Offered by DTD Shop Design Trend Dazzle, a boutique specializing in curious, rare, and precious objects.

In coral reefs, white coral plays a crucial role by providing a vital habitat for numerous marine species. Small fish find secure shelter among its folds and crevices, while invertebrates cling to its surfaces to protect themselves from predators. This interconnection between different forms of marine life creates an ecological balance essential to the health of the reefs.

Beyond its ecological importance, white coral enchants divers and snorkeling enthusiasts with its striking beauty. When illuminated by sunlight, its shades of white seem to glow with a own light, lighting up the seabed and creating breathtaking underwater landscapes. Its immaculate appearance contrasts beautifully with the vibrant colors of other corals and tropical fish, thus creating a scene of great visual richness.
