At the end of the 19th century Hanau, a small German town near Frankfurt, became very famous for the production of silverware in the most popular historical styles. Thanks to the incredible quality of its pieces, the precision and care with which it produced extraordinary copies from antique models, the works produced by the Hanau goldsmiths achieved rapid worldwide success and are highly valued by collectors.
