Description from the seller
The Minolta Program 3500xi is a compact and powerful hot shoe flash unit originally introduced in 1991 for the Minolta Dynax/Maxxum xi-series analog SLR cameras. The flash uses the specific, sliding Minolta iISO (Auto-lock) flash shoe.
Key Specifications
Guide number: Up to 35 (at ISO 100 and set to 105mm).
Zoom head: Automatic motorized zoom that follows the lens from 28mm to 105mm (with manual settings for 28mm, 50mm and 105mm).
Bounce head: The flash head can tilt up to 90 degrees for indirect bouncing off the ceiling.
Light output control: Includes a 'Lo' button to manually reduce flash power to about 1/4 of full power.
Auxiliary features: Built-in red AF-assist lamp for focusing in the dark.
Power: Operates on 4 standard AA batteries.
Camera compatibility. The operation of this flash depends strongly on the type of camera you use:
Analogue Minolta cameras (i-, xi-, and si-series): Fully compatible. Functions such as TTL automatic exposure, automatic zoom, and wireless TTL control (off-camera) work perfectly.
Sony Alpha DSLR/SLT cameras (pre-2012): Physically fits models with the iISO flash shoe (such as the Sony A100, A200, A700). However, the flash here only works manually (Full power or 'Lo'). Automatic TTL metering and wireless functions do not work, which can cause photos to be quickly overexposed if you don’t manually adjust the camera.
Modern Sony cameras (Multi Interface shoe): For mirrorless/system cameras (such as the Sony A7-series or A6000-series) you need a Sony ADP-MAA adapter to mount the flash at all. Even then, it only works in manual mode.
Shipping. This item will be packed with the utmost care when shipped. Excluding shipping to islands located outside the Netherlands.
