Elegant and imposing Chinese porcelain vase, 35 cm high, hand-painted with magnificent polychrome chrysanthemums in enamels on a white ground, accompanied by brush-written calligraphy.
The floral decor is complemented by a poem inspired by “Ye Ju” (Wild Chrysanthemum) by the famous Tang Dynasty poet Li Shangyin, some characters of which have been adapted by the artist, in line with a common practice among Republic-period porcelain painters.
