Gold-tone 5 Yuan commemorative coin issued to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution of 1911, the event that ended the Qing dynasty and paved the way for the Republic of China. The obverse features the national emblem of the People's Republic of China against a background of wavy lines, surrounded by the official name of the country and the issue date. The reverse shows a high-relief scene of revolutionaries advancing armed during the uprising, accompanied by the inscription «辛亥革命» (Xinhai Revolution), the face value, and the commemorative 90th anniversary legend. The piece retains an intense original mint luster, with perfectly defined reliefs, very clean fields and slight surface marks from handling, fully consistent with the high grade MS67. This issue is part of the People's Republic of China commemorative coin program dedicated to the country's major historic events and constitutes an attractive homage to one of the most transformative episodes in modern Chinese history.
