Ancient Egyptian Middle Kingdom wood sarcophagus panel dating to the 11th–12th Dynasty (circa 2050 B.C.), featuring Hathor with the sun disk and a shabti servant, with wings of Isis implied, size 10.8 cm long, in fragment condition, display stand and certificate of authenticity included.
Description from the seller
Decorated in turquoise, red, black, white and ochre on a brown ground with Hathor wearing the sun-disk, a magical servant figure of a shabti behind, both surmounted by what probably was the lower part of the spread wings of Isis. Exquisite. The servant figure beside the goddess symbolised the deceased entrusting themselves to the divine protection and magical providence of the solar deity, while relying on their shabtis for manual work in the Field of Reeds.
