Giulio Paolini - Statement - 1979

Six folded double pages. Artist's book, in which the neoclassical illustrations and their historical references are accentuated by the square shape of the book and by the rigorously symmetric arrangement of the pages. On the title page is printed Paolini's 'Declaration', with a German translation on the back: "All my work unfolds around an implicit diaphragm in the image: like an ideal image that reflects and reveals the appearances themselves that compose it". Published in an edition of 500 copies, Excellent condition
