Description from the seller
Thonet Vanity in Steam-Bent Beech – Early 20th Century
Elegant and rare Thonet vanity, crafted in steam-bent beech, a typical technique that made the manufactory famous in the early 1900s. The piece features a refined tilt- or rise-adjustable mirror with an arched frame, supported by two lateral uprights adorned with small turned knobs and two curved side arms, usable as hooks.
The lower part is characterized by a shaped top surface, enriched with decorative scroll elements in bent wood. At the base, a central pedestal develops into four sinuous and slender legs, connected by elegant intertwined movements, also achieved through steam bending.
The structure, harmonious and light, perfectly expresses the Thonet aesthetic: functionality, balance and great craftsmanship. An antique object perfect as a scenographic furnishing element or as a refined bedroom vanity.
Dimensions:
Height: 175 cm
Width: 82 cm
Depth: 40 cm
Code: ASLK5827
Keys or accessories are not included, unless otherwise indicated in the photo and description.
In generally good condition, showing signs of wear that, however, do not compromise the beauty, shape, and integrity of these unique pieces.
Please note that, being antique/vintage items, they may have slight damage or signs from their long journey through the years. We believe these imperfections add authentic character and a special charm to each piece.
Delivery is not included with porterage; if you want delivery to a floor, please indicate it promptly after purchase, and international shipping is not feasible.
