Collection of 27 arrowheads (Neolithic bow) 1 scraper ,2 hatchets ,9 beads

Size from 1 cm to 7 cm
Weight from 0.25 g to 34 g
Material flint , pink sandstone , quartz

Saharan Neolithic spans approximately from 6000 to 2000 BCE.
It corresponds to the period of the “Green Sahara,” when the desert was a savanna inhabited by herders and hunter-gatherers.

Several lithic cultures stand out in this region:

Ténéréan Culture (Ténéré, Niger): famous for its pedunculated bifacial points and its “Ténéré disks”

Tilemsian Culture (eastern Mali, Mauritania): characterized by Tilemsi points, bifacial points with a peduncle opened by denticulation

Late Capsian culture (Algeria, Tunisia): production of microliths and geometric points
Hoggar/Ahaggar industry (south of Algeria): quartz and flint tools associated with the first herders
