Description
Iconic Boby Trolley storage cart, designed by Joe Colombo in 1970 and produced by Bieffeplast in Italy.
Regarded as one of the most famous objects of Italian design in the 20th century, the Boby Trolley was created as a modular multifunction system intended for study, office, workshop, and domestic environments. Thanks to its characteristic tilting drawers and spacious storage compartments, it remains an icon of industrial design today.
The specimen offered here is made in ivory-colored ABS and is equipped with: four side swing drawers; side storage compartments; top surface with dividers; original swivel wheels.
The item bears the original raised stamp with the designer Joe Colombo and the production marks of Bieffeplast.
Present in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Boby Trolley represents one of the most important projects of Italian design of the second half of the 20th century.
