A rare original Art Deco cabinet in solid oak with a two‑part design featuring glazed display sections, measuring 215 cm high by 118 cm wide by 76 cm deep and weighing 99 kg, made in Germany around 1900–1910 and capable of being locked with the original metal fittings and leaded glass fronts.
Description from the seller
I am offering here a rare and beautifully original Art Nouveau solid oak furniture piece—a two-part cabinet with a vitrine top, a folding trough area, and elaborate wood carvings, created around 1900.
About the furniture:
215 cm x 118 cm x 76 cm (including seating bench).
Solid oak wood, completely original and fully functional.
Two-part, making it ideal for transport.
Beautiful carvings with apple motifs on the fronts, as well as original metal fittings and locks.
About the leaded-glass windows:
The two leaded-glass panes with the characteristic blue blossoms and flowing lines are original from the Art Nouveau period.
They originally came from another cabinet and were professionally fitted in—original Art Nouveau leaded-glass windows are nowadays a rarity.
Some petals were renewed about 40 years ago by a professional glass restorer, crafted to a high standard and hardly distinguishable from the original.
Condition:
Good – typical, age-appropriate signs of use for a piece over 120 years old, completely intact and ready to use.
