Abelisaurus tooth fossil from the Kem Kem Beds, Morocco, dating to the Upper Cretaceous Cenomanian around 100 million years ago; natural, authentic specimen weighing 55 g with dimensions 24 mm × 9 mm × 8 mm.

Fossil. An Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth.
Fossil: This perfectly preserved tooth comes from a theropod belonging to the Abelisaurids, a group of carnivorous dinosaurs. They were characterized by their extremely small forelimbs, short, deep snouts, small sharp teeth, and strong muscular hind limbs.
This tooth comes from a yet undescribed Abelisaurid species from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco.
So far, presumably only two Abelisaurid species have been found in Morocco's Kem Kem Beds. One Abelisaurid (Rugops primus) was named after the Echkar Formation of Niger.
Upper Cretaceous Cenomanian ~100 million years ago
This tooth exhibits a very sharp, fine serration along both edges.
