Description from the seller
Vintage French Art Deco Silver-Plated Ice Bucket / Wine Cooler - c. 1930-1950
An elegant vintage French silver-plated wine or champagne ice bucket (seau à glace / rafraîchissoir), dating back to the mid-20th century.
This piece showcases a beautiful Art Deco influenced design, featuring a clean, polished upper body, stylized geometric side handles, and a finely ribbed (ringed) pattern detailing the lower section.
The interior reveals a warm golden hue/brass undertone, creating a stunning contrast with the silver-plated exterior patina.
French silver-plate hallmarks (poinçons) are clearly stamped on the underside:
- A square responsibility mark (poinçon de responsabilité) indicating the silvering standard quality.
- A master goldsmith/maker's mark in a cut-corner cartouche, typical of prestigious French orfèvrerie workshops of the era.
Dimensions:
- Height: 19 cm
- Top Diameter: 16.5 cm
- Total Width (including handles): 23 cm
Good vintage condition with a beautiful authentic patina, minor surface wear, and light oxidation consistent with age and use.
No major dents. It can be polished to a high mirror shine or left with its current historical character depending on the buyer's preference.
An exquisite barware accessory, perfect for adding a touch of classic French bistro or mid-century elegance to your dinner table.
The product will be professionally packed and sent safely to your address by local post.
The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description.
