Aka Electric Berlin - Searchlight (2) - Cast brass, Iron, Beech

German theatre spotlight from the AKA Electric factory of the DDR, built in the 1940s as shown in the photo of the metal tag. It is mounted on an industrial wooden and brass tripod. The spotlight's internal lamp was replaced because it had an E40 socket and, above all, because it had a power of 3000 watts incompatible today with a household mains. A reducer for E27 bulbs has therefore been installed. The original lamp, as shown in the photo, is an integral part of the sale and will be shipped together with the spotlight. A knob allows the lamp inside the spotlight to move forward/backward. The item thus represents an example of 1940s East German industrial design. The beechwood tripod has at the top a solid brass base on which a iron plate is fixed to support the spotlight. It is extendable from 1 m up to 1.70 m, as shown in the photo. For the dimensions and weight of the tripod and lamp, shipping will be carried out in two packages.
