Auction of a magnificent and rare collection of 32 traditional lead toy soldiers from the famous Spanish manufacturer Alymer. This prestigious collection is meticulously hand-painted and consists of heavy pieces in solid lead.
Collection highlights:
- Guaranteed authenticity: Each figurine comes with its original brass base/plate engraved “ALYMER SPAIN” on the bottom.
- Official Alymer numbering system:
* Series 900 (Great Leaders & Dictators): Charles de Gaulle, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Francisco Franco, Mao Zedong.
* Series 600: Senior officers and high-ranking generals.
* Series 100/200/300: Elite infantry, non-commissioned officers and soldiers.
- Very rare pieces included: Includes a soldier of the Imperial Japanese Army from World War II (very hard to find on the market).
- Standard-bearer figurines: The lot also includes two magnificent standard-bearers (German flag and Spanish flag) which add superb display value.
Condition of the pieces:
- 30 figurines are in mint condition, preserved in their original transparent plastic blister packs.
- The two standard-bearers are sold loose (without blister) but retain their brass-engraved bases in excellent condition.
