Splendid majolica-covered potiche vase, produced by Villeroy & Boch at the famous Bonn factory in Germany between 1920 and 1925.

The mark impressed on the base, characterized by the tower with the initials V&B and the inscription Bonn, attests to the very short transition period of only five years after the acquisition of Franz Anton Mehlem's historic manufactory by Villeroy & Boch, before the factory was definitively reconverted.

The vase is finely decorated in cobalt blue underglaze with a dense geometric-fractal pattern and medallion reserves featuring landscapes in a classical and Romantic taste.

The piece is in excellent antique condition, with a small crack as shown in the photo, confined to the inner part of the lid.

Il marchio impresso sul fondo, caratterizzato dalla torre con le iniziali V&B e la dicitura Bonn, testimonia il brevissimo periodo di transizione di soli cinque anni successivo all'acquisizione della storica manifattura di Franz Anton Mehlem da parte di Villeroy & Boch, prima che la fabbrica venisse definitivamente riconvertita.

Il vaso è finemente decorato in blu cobalto sottovetrina con una fitta trama geometrico-frattale e riserve a medaglione con paesaggi di gusto classico e romantico.

L'oggetto si presenta in ottime condizioni d'epoca, presenta una piccola crepa come da foto solamente nella parte interna del coperchio.
