Wall sconce (2) - Wood

This wall sconce features a hand-carved gilded wooden frame with scrolls and foliate decorations, typical of Rococo or Baroque style. In the center is a shaped mirror, which reflects the light of the candle or the bulb installed on the light arm. The piece probably dates to the first half of the 19th century (the 1820s–1830s), although the style draws on older eighteenth‑century models.
