Italian Baroque wall mirror in carved and gilded wood – late 19th century
Elegant wall mirror in finely carved wood, richly decorated with scrolling, a mascaron in the lower part and a putto head in the upper part. The antique gilding on a cream background presents a beautiful patina with natural craquelure evidencing its age.
The mirror retains its original charm with high-quality sculpture and a decoration typically inspired by Italian Baroque. The piece is in good overall condition with some wear and small losses of gilding and white (see photos) in keeping with its age, which enhance its authenticity.
