Courvoisier XO Royal* is a masterful cognac, created to honor the historic blends made in the early 20th century for European royal courts, particularly for King Edward VII.
This exceptional spirit gracefully combines rare eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne with the intense, floral character of Fins Bois grapes from Jarnac, resulting in an aging process that reaches up to 30 years.
Visually, it captivates with a deep, dark amber hue. On the nose, the impact is sumptuous: it opens with a decadent aroma of truffle and elegant summer flowers, quickly evolving into warm notes of toffee and candied apricot.
On the palate, it reveals a sumptuous, rich, and velvety structure. The attack is a triumph of dense honey and toasted hazelnuts, followed by vibrant spicy hints of cinnamon and sandalwood. Unlike the classic XO, the Royal version surprises with a bolder touch of chocolate and bitter orange peel, which gives it an unexpected freshness.
