Impressive Bicolor 'Cage' Table Lamp - Belgo Chrom Style - 77cm - Brass & Chrome
Description: An absolute masterpiece from the 1970s/1980s. This very heavy (3.8 kg) and stately table lamp embodies the Hollywood Regency luxury of the iconic Belgian house Belgo Chrom and the French Maison Jansen.
Design & Materials: The 'Cage' or cage-model is a masterful combination of geometric shapes. The base is a bi-color interplay of gold-colored brass and reflective chrome. The lamp features a double socket with the original Italian VLM pull-chains, allowing the light sources to be operated independently.
Shade condition: Note the Lot is without a shade. The shade is supplied gratis as a service. The lamp comes with the shown brown shade. This shade is very special due to the gold-colored interior, which creates a spectacular warm light (see photos). Please note: The shade is functional and looks stunning from a distance, but it is in used vintage condition and shows signs of time (there is damage at the rear top). For the discerning collector, reupholstery or replacement may be desirable in time, but the shade is included to complete the silhouette and ambiance immediately.
