The Sansui AU-555A is a beloved vintage amplifier with an almost legendary reputation among enthusiasts. This model is known for its warm, musical and very pleasant Sansui sound. Not extremely heavy in power, but more than sufficient for normal to medium-sized speakers and especially loved for its tonal character.
This amplifier has been serviced and checked and is in very good working condition. It plays clean, warm and musical, just as you would expect from a good vintage Sansui.
Cosmetically, for its age, it is in very nice condition. The wooden housing / wooden case looks stunning and gives the amplifier that classic 1970s look. Of course there are light signs of use appropriate for its age, but overall this is a particularly neat appearance. See the photos for the exact condition.
