Two splendid antique cast-iron doorstops or bookends in the shape of a reclining hunting dog, made during the Victorian era in England. The dog figures are made of heavy cast iron and often have a detailed base with decorative motifs. Such objects were originally used as doorstops or as bookends.

Twee schitterende antieke gietijzeren deurstoppen of boekensteunen in de vorm van een liggende jachthond welke zijn gemaakt tijdens het Victoriaanse tijdperk in Engeland. De hondenfiguren zijn gemaakt van zwaar gietijzer en hebben vaak een gedetailleerde voet met decoratieve motieven. Dergelijke objecten werden oorspronkelijk gebruikt als deurstop of als boekensteunen.
