Expressive bronze sculpture of a couple with a shopping cart – Raw, realistic style

A atmospheric and authentic bronze statue depicting an everyday scene: a man and a woman standing together beside a shopping cart. The artwork radiates a sense of togetherness and shared activity, far from the classical, lofty statues.

The style of the sculpture is strikingly modern and expressive. The sculptor has chosen a rough, grainy, unfinished texture with visible casting marks. The clothing of the figures is simple and timeless, and the shopping cart has a characteristic woven / lattice pattern that has been carefully molded.

Signature / Brand: On the bronze base, at the rear, a stamped round mark is clearly visible. This most likely indicates an atelier or foundry stamp of the maker.

Mounting: The bronze artwork is solidly mounted on a solid black marble block. The marble pedestal has beautiful light veining. At the bottom (as shown in the detail photo) there is a round recess, which makes the whole somewhat lighter and is typical for antique bronze statues on a heavy base.

Condition: In good vintage condition. The bronze has a dark natural patina.

A unique and artistic object that deserves a nice place on a sideboard, bookshelf, or in the kitchen.
