Balafon from a private collection. Eight wooden sound bars attached to a wooden frame with leather straps. Under the sound bars are dried calabashes used as resonators. The original Schlängel are present. 
The balafon was imported from Gambia to Germany between 1970 and 2000. 
Cosmetic wear appropriate for its age.

Balafon aus Privatsammlung. Acht Klangstäbe aus Holz, die mit Lederstreifen auf einem Holzrahmen befestigt sind. Unter den Klangstäben befinden sich getrocknete Kalabassen als Klangkörper. Die originalen Schlängel sind vorhanden. 
Das Balafon wurde zwischen 1970-2000 von Gambia nach Deutschland importiert. 
Altersgemäße kosmetische Abnutzungen vorhanden.
