Two antique walking canes from the United Kingdom: a 88 cm crook-handle hardwood cane with its original brass ferrule dating to 1920–1930, and an 80 cm antler-handled hardwood cane with no ferrule dating to 1930–1940, both in good condition with age-related wear.
Description from the seller
Two Antique Walking Canes – Crook Handle & Antler-Handled Cane – Early 20th Century
A charming pair of antique wooden walking canes dating from the early 20th century, each displaying traditional craftsmanship and an attractive aged patina.
The first is a classic crook-handle walking cane, crafted from polished hardwood with a warm honey-coloured finish. It retains its original brass ferrule and features a simple, elegant design typical of everyday gentlemen's walking sticks of the period.
The second is a rustic antler-handled walking cane, featuring a naturally formed stag antler grip mounted on a polished antler or bone collar and secured with a hand-fitted metal collar. The dark hardwood shaft has developed a rich colour through years of use, giving it plenty of authentic character.
Good antique condition overall. Both canes show age-related wear, including scratches, small dents and surface marks consistent with decades of use. The crook-handle cane retains its original brass ferrule.
The antler-handled cane's ferrule is no longer present, leaving the wooden tip exposed. The cane remains structurally sound with an attractive untouched patina.
Please study the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
