Offered is an iconic piece of photographic history: the legendary Houghton ‘Ticka’ pocket watch camera. Introduced in London around 1906 by Houghtons Ltd., this is one of the most sought-after and charming spy cameras (detective cameras) from the early cinema era. This particular example is an absolute standout. The silver metal case features the original, finely engraved stylized "TIC" monogram on the front. The camera is designed to take discreet photographs and is disguised as a classic pocket watch, complete with a wind button that also serves as a lens cap.

Condition of the object:
Cosmetic: In very nice vintage condition with a beautiful patina. The engraving is still crisply visible. Light signs of age and superficial scratches consistent with the age (see photos for an accurate impression).
Mechanical: The shutter is wound and clicks as it should. The lens cap/button is present.
