Description from the seller

Technics SU V7 very high quality amplifier. Technically great, sound on both channels without hums and crackling. Tested on all inputs. Great phono mode mm/mc. Optically quite well preserved, the front panel is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use. The cover has a few minor scratches, see pictures.

The Technics SU-V7 is a highly regarded, powerful, and heavy vintage stereo integrated DC amplifier manufactured in Japan between 1981 and 1983. Known for its exceptional build quality and robust power delivery, it remains a favorite among vintage audio enthusiasts who seek clean, analytical power combined with impressive low-end pounch.
Sound Performance ReviewMassive, Controlling Bass: Reviewers and owners frequently call the SU-V7 a "monster" when it comes to low-frequency performance. It delivers deep, tight, and thumpy bass that outperforms many standard Class AB amplifiers of its era.Crisp and Clean Soundstage.
The sonic signature leans slightly toward the clean and cool/analytical side. It provides exceptional clarity and resolution, making well-mastered tracks (like Steely Dan) sound stunningly crisp.
Smooth and Controlled Reproduction: Thanks to its DC design, it lacks the harshness found in lower-end vintage gear. The background noise is minimal, offering a smooth, effortless presentation even when driving demanding speakers.
Key Design & Engineering Features"New Class A" Technology: Unlike traditional Class A amps that run scorching hot, Technics implemented a specialized biasing scheme. It eliminates switching distortion while allowing the unit to run relatively cool during typical domestic use.Exceptional Power Reserves: Weighing nearly 10 kg, it relies on a heavy-duty power transformer and large capacitors. This gives it an impressive dynamic range capable of handling sudden musical peaks without distorting.Comprehensive Control Suite: The front panel offers variable bass, treble, and balance controls, a loudness switch, and a flexible phono stage that supports both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges.
