Thorens - TD1601 Turntable cartridge with stylus

This Thorens TD 1601 turntable was purchased in 2019.12. It has never been used. It is brand new. All its papers are in its box.

This elegant, top-of-the-range turntable is the Thorens TD 1601, which stands out from its visually similar sibling, the TD 1600, thanks to the characteristic "Lift" button in the lower right corner of the aluminum surface, which activates the electric arm lifting mechanism. Main Features Sub-chassis Suspension: It features an internal suspended chassis supported by three conical springs, perfectly isolating the record from vibrations. Electronic Lift & Auto Stop: Offers the convenience of semi-automatic operation, lifting the arm at the end of the record. High-Precision Arm: Equipped with the top-of-the-line Thorens TP 92 (9-inch) straight arm, which offers excellent stability and zero resonances. Audiophile Connection: In addition to the classic RCA outputs, it also features fully balanced XLR outputs for maximum signal purity.

This turntable is fitted with a factory Thorens TAS 1600 cartridge, which is an excellent low-output Moving Coil (MC) cartridge. Designed in Europe and manufactured in Japan specifically to perfectly match the TD 1600 and TD 1601 models.
