AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Electric meat slicing machine - type 836 "Berkeletten"
VAN BERKEL’S PATENT-ROTTERDAM HOLLAND in a state beyond excellent. (NON-CE)
Year of construction: 1962

Slices from ultra-thin to slices of 15 mm
Integrated sharpening unit: the blade can be sharpened quickly and easily
Durable vintage design and simple operation

The "Berkelette" is a slicing machine built entirely from standard units, manufactured according to the most modern manufacturing methods of the 1960s and 1970s.

The "Berkelette" is a fast and compact machine, with a highly modern design from that era and still an icon today. By using special material for the housing, the machine can be cleaned quickly and easily. The material used is absolutely corrosion-free, acid- and alkali-resistant, oil- and grease-proof, light, hard and resilient.

Lubrication of the machine is completely unnecessary. All moving parts are equipped with self-lubricating bearings.

A compact, fully enclosed sharpening device protects the grinding stones from dust and grease; it can be placed in the correct sharpening position with a twist of the wrist. The sharpening device forms a single unit with the machine and cannot be lost or damaged by falls.
