Antique Altarpiece - Brass Bronze - 1850-1900

A beautifully preserved and fully complete Neo-Gothic travel altar (devotional centerpiece) from the second half of the 19th century.
This object is of Belgian origin and is in excellent authentic condition with a lovely historical patina.
Design details:
The altar piece is executed as a richly decorated, architecturally temple-like structure (spire tip) in typical Neo-Gothic style.
The construction features refined ogival arches, supporting brackets and pinnacles.
In the center there is a detailed bronze/brass cast image of Christ with the Sacred Heart, making a blessing gesture.
The bottom is completely flat and closed, with a central brass nut.
This confirms that the object was designed as an independent whole and was never part of a larger whole.
The original case accompanies it and is complete with original blue velvet lining.
In very good condition with natural signs of aging.
