Whittaker Micro vintage subminiature camera from 1950-1960, in very good physical condition with a robust metal housing, leatherette finish, and a mechanical plunger shutter control, tested and working.
Description from the seller
Presented is a fascinating piece of photographic history: a vintage subminiature camera. This type of precision instrument was commonly used in the 1950s and 1960s for discreet photography and espionage purposes because of their extremely compact size. The camera features a robust metal housing with a distinctive leather-texture finish. Notable is the mechanical plunger at the top, a characteristic system for shutter control on early miniature models. In nice vintage condition with light signs of wear consistent with age (see photos for details). The mechanism has been tested and works.
This lot is a must-have for collectors of mechanical cameras or enthusiasts of Cold War memorabilia.
