Beautiful Russian icon depicting Christ Pantocrator, blessing with his right hand and holding the Gospels. It is adorned with a silver repoussé oklad, finely chased, highlighting the liturgical garments and the radiant halo, while the face and hand remain painted according to Orthodox tradition.
The inscription at the bottom identifies the subject as « Господь Вседержитель » (« The Lord All-Powerful »).
The visible hallmarks allow us to read with certainty:
