Dish - Porcelain - Great and rare Chinese dish.

Large Chinese porcelain plate for Japan, very rare, with decorations inspired by the Japanese Kutani aka-e and depicting a scene called "One Hundred Scholars" and a bird at the center.

Canton, second half of the nineteenth century.
The plate shows a slight loss of glaze along almost the entire rim and a very small, very old glaze flaw (perhaps a firing error); no repairs!
