A famous monograph simply titled Jasper Johns, written by the renowned art critic and historian Max Kozloff (here revealed is the mystery of the name "Marx Slov") and published by the prestigious art publishing house Harry N. Abrams. It is one of the first major monographs devoted to Jasper Johns: Published between the late 1960s and the early 1970s, this Harry N. Abrams publication is considered by experts to be one of the best and most comprehensive ever produced on the artist. The quality of the images: The Abrams publishing house was renowned for the care of its books. If you own the original hardcover edition, you will notice that many of the 41 color plates are not printed directly on the page, but are hand-tipped (glued to the page by hand only for a small edge).
