FOUZIA KHAIA - Vase - Earthenware - Faience vase

This unique piece belongs to a series of vases created from ancient molds from a former earthenware workshop in Occitania, linking tradition and contemporary creation.

The project draws inspiration from the Martres-Tolosane heritage, famous for its faience and craftsmanship, reinterpreting ancient forms and emblematic motifs through digital tools and parametric design.

Each vase is a poetic reactivation of the memory of the shapes of the region, where the silhouettes of ibises – an iconic motif of Martres-Tolosane faience – are transformed into new contemporary variations.

The decoration, entirely handmade, uses antique engobes older than 30 years.
