Figurine - Porcelain

A decorative pair of Chinese Sancai glazed Buddhist lions. Each lion is modelled seated on a rectangular pedestal, with an open mouth, bulging eyes and a curled mane. The figures are decorated in deep cobalt blue, green, brown and white glazes. One lion rests a paw beside a pierced brocade ball, while the other is accompanied by a smaller cub.
Dating to the late 19th century, Qing Dynasty.

Condition:
One lion has small chips to the teeth and tongue. The other has a tiny chip to the tongue and possible firing flaws to the nose and lip, which are covered by black paint. Minor age-related wear and firing irregularities throughout. Please examine the photographs carefully.
