Russian icon divided into four panels with an oklad, depicting images of the Mother of God. Dated to the first half of the 19th century. It is egg tempera on a plaster ground on a wooden panel. Covered with a brass oklad that is repoussé. Measures 34 x 27.5 cm. It is exceptionally well preserved. It was purchased at Hargesheimer Kunstauktionen in Düsseldorf: the world’s leading icon auction held twice a year. The original purchase documentation is available upon request.

Icona russa suddivisa in quattro riquadri con oklad, raffigurante immagini della Madre di Dio. Datata prima metà del XIX secolo. Si tratta di una tempera all’uovo su fondo di gesso su tavola di legno. Rivestita da un oklad in ottone sbalzato. Misura cm 34 x 27,5. E’ ottimamente conservata. E' stata acquistata alla Hargesheimer Kunstauktionen di Dusseldorf: la principale asta mondiale di Icone che si tiene due volte l'anno.
