Two hand-painted Gouda Ivora plateel vases, dating to the early 1920s (circa 1922–1927), in the desirable B.O. decor on a deep black ground with polychrome floral and scrolling motifs in purple, red, green and turquoise; vase 181 stands 32 cm high and vase 207 26 cm high, both with painter initials D and T and marked Ivora Gouda Holland, in excellent original condition with no chips or restorations.

Ivora Gouda – Two hand-painted plateel vases, circa 1922–1927
Two matching hand-painted plateel vases from the Gouda pottery Ivora, executed in the desirable B.O. decoration on a deep black ground with rich polychrome floral and scrolling ornament in purple, red, green and turquoise.
The vases are marked Ivora Gouda Holland with decoration code B.O. and model numbers 181 (height 32 cm) and 207 (height 26 cm). Both carry a painter’s initial (D and T respectively) and date from the first half of the 1920s.
The vases are in excellent, original, and undamaged condition, without chips, hairlines, or restorations. Due to the identical decoration and harmonious form, they form a particularly beautiful ensemble, representative of the high-quality Gouda plateel from the Art Deco period.
Condition: Excellent, mint.
Provenance: Ivora Plateelbakkerij, Gouda, Netherlands.
Dating: circa 1922–1927.
