Description from the seller
Pair of Vintage Silver-Plated Shabbat Style Candlesticks - "Made in England" - Rococo/Warsaw Revival Style - 25 cm
An elegant and finely crafted pair of vintage silver-plated candlesticks, manufactured in England during the 20th century.
These candlesticks are beautifully designed in the traditional "Warsaw/Shabbat" style, heavily influenced by Rococo and Baroque Revival aesthetics.
The pieces feature rich repoussé decorations depicting lush grapevines, grape clusters, and detailed foliage.
The structure consists of a square lobed base, a classic baluster stem with ornate knops, and a matching decorated bobeche. The undersides are covered with their original royal blue protective felt pads to prevent scratching on furniture surfaces.
Both candlesticks are clearly stamped on the front rim of the base with the authentic manufacturer's mark: "Made in England" over "Silver Plated".
Dimensions & Weight:
- Height: 25 cm
- Base width: 11 cm × 11 cm
- Total weight: Heavy, stable pieces (ideal for dinner tables or ceremonial use)
Condition:
In very good vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina. The silver plating has worn down organically on the high-relief areas and inside the candle nozzles, revealing the warm tones of the underlying brass core—a feature highly appreciated by antique enthusiasts as it confirms their vintage age and character. There are minor wax residues and light oxidation inside the cups, typical for used items of this era. No structural damage, dents, or deep scratches.
The product will be professionally packed and sent safely to your address by local post.
The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description.
