Bencini Comet S is a vintage Italian camera with good physical condition, tested and working, using 35 mm 127 film, dating to 1950–1960.
Description from the seller
Selling Lot of:
Bencini Comet S, a historic vintage camera produced in Milan by C.M.F. Bencini around 1950.
It is a small piece of Italian industrial design history, characterized by a highly recognizable body entirely made of die-cast aluminum. Given that it was a model that at the time enjoyed enormous commercial success.
Beautiful object to display!
The aluminum is not as pristine as it looks in the photos.
Apart from that it has no issues, I don’t have the case.
~
Bencini Comet S is a classic example of post-war Italian photographic design and engineering.
It mounts a lens "Acro-matico F. 55mm 1:8" (an acromatic Bencini lens with maximum aperture f/8).
Focusing: Manual, by turning the front ring of the lens (front focusing).
It's a beautiful collectible piece, a witness to the boom of Italian industrial design in the 1950s!
