JBL Northridge E80 speakers (Black)
In mint condition
no scratches or damage
(photos do not do justice to how beautiful these speakers look in real life)
The JBL E80 speaker systems literally form the heart of JBL technology. They are three-way speakers with an open enclosure. They feature a 19 mm (3/4") titanium-coated tweeter mounted in the frames of the patented EOS (Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal) horn. This horn was originally developed for the JBL Pro LSR studio monitors and is now used in other series as well. It provides a wide polar pattern for the high frequencies. The midrange and low-frequency drivers are equipped with patented two-layer diaphragms. These consist of a cellulose diffuser with a special polymer coating. This technology is called PolyPlas. The frequency bands are separated with patented crossover filters according to the SSP scheme, which ensures a minimal signal path and thus minimal distortion. Another patented technology, FreeFlow, is used in the bass-reflex port.
Sound.
The JBL E80s deliver a refined bass, fully justifying their status as floorstanding speakers and reinforcing the reputation of one of the world’s leading experts in low frequencies. The tone and quality of the frequency range are very high: the bass is deep and accurate; the speakers maintain full control over the frequency range at any volume level (there is never a sense of bass overload).
The model performs best with recordings featuring grand, wide-screen surround sound: symphonic concerts, live performances of classical, popular, and rock music with vocals.
