Description:
This print on premium paper offers a solemn and evocative fusion between the sci-fi and war imagery of Warhammer 40k and the minimal, linear aesthetic of traditional Japanese ukiyo-e prints. At the center stands a imposing Space Marine wearing a massive, predominantly red enhanced armor, enriched with massive white pauldrons, one of which bears the inscription "AQUILA." The chest is adorned with a golden, winged frieze, while the white helmet combines sci-fi elements with a classic crest and a curved horn on the frontal part. The warrior wields a large sword pointed downward. On the left, in the background, a human skull rests on the ground, while the right side background displays a stylized and barren hilly landscape under a pale, cream-colored sky, painted with flat fields that evoke traditional painting.
"In the silence of an ancient world, even the soldier of the distant future lays down his fury to become pure form and monument."
Creative process:
The work was created through an innovative hybrid process: an initial sketch was generated with sophisticated artificial intelligence, subsequently interpreted and fully hand-colored by the artist using professional software on an iPad. In the final stage, a dedicated filter was applied to enhance the neo-ukiyo-e style, giving the illustration sharp lines, strong contrasts, and that graphic elegance typical of contemporary Japanese tradition.
Packaging and Shipping:
Each print is personally packed by the artist in their own studio. The packaging is highly protective as the print is shipped rolled in protective tubes.
