Description:
This premium paper print iconographically reinterprets a Space Marine from Warhammer 40k through the style of Japanese ukiyo-e. It depicts the imposing warrior clad in deep crimson armor, finely decorated with gold scrollwork and flame motifs. The helmet features incandescent red eye slits, and on the chest sits a golden winged eagle. The Space Marine stands with a clenched fist, while the hilt of a golden sword is visible at the bottom. The background is a soft ivory tone with faint blue stylized waves at the top and bottom, blending brutal sci‑fi aesthetics with the delicacy of traditional woodblock print art.
"I wanted to capture the warrior’s honor through a bridge between futuristic myth and the floating aesthetics of the ukiyo-e world."
Creative Process:
The work was created through an innovative hybrid process: an initial draft was generated with sophisticated Artificial Intelligence, then fully interpreted and hand-colored by the artist using professional software on an iPad. In the final stage, a dedicated filter was applied to enhance the neo ukiyo-e style, giving the illustration sharp lines, strong contrasts, and the graphic elegance typical of contemporary Japanese tradition.
Packaging and Shipping:
Each print is personally packed by the artist in their own studio. The packaging is highly protective as the print is shipped rolled in protective tubes.
